Solar System Radio

Having spent much time with web technologies decided to start a music project again. The studio room hasn't been tided up for a while and news around mars missions and asteroid mining came up. What an excellent starting point for a new song. As we are fans of astronomic topics and interstellar affairs this was pure fun.
The question was: What can a song express between fiction, science and ... stuff?
And there it was: Mankind takes advantage of the solar system? So we need a new radio broadcasting environment.

Sound only version

Songtext:

Solar System Radio

The room is looking dirty
The plant seems downright dead
The number here is thirty
On the floor a scrunched grey bread
Some lights are blinking
I'm breathing out
That ants are walking
Through a hole they found

Some writings on the paper
The computer is tracking notes
Changing that wave shaper
Controlled by pressed remotes
The session is starting
The amps are powered on
Preparing the recording
This is obviously a song

In no hotel in no dome
This was recorded at home
Leave that reason alone
'cause sound is more than just foam

In the news the stars are shining
Mankind is settling Mars
Going asteroid mining
Building water selling bars
Besides those common resources
We need a special flow
To stay our space ship courses
We need solar system radio

In no hotel in no dome
This was recorded at home
Leave that reason alone
'cause sound is more than just foam

There are words I want to sing on Mars
There are words I want to sing on Mars
I want to sing these words
There are words I want to sing on Mars
I want to sing these words

In no hotel in no dome
This was recorded at home (home)
Leave that reason alone
'cause sound is more than just foam
